Job Description

REPORTING LINE: CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER- SUPERVISION: PREMIUM ADMIN TEAM Supervise to ensure the entire premium administration of the institution is well managed with all the Banks in the country. Supervise the the Premium Admin department to ensure premiums received are well accounted for and are credited to the policy holders in consultation with the underwriting Department Core Responsibilities 1. Increase Premium Income/ Collection Rate ? Ensure efficient and effective arrears management system (10 of such clients will be called everyday) ? Develop an incentive scheme to motivate schedule officers ? Process mandated deductions (refer to direct debit instruction). ? Conduct regular audit to ensure that total Policies issued match total policies sent to the banks. ? Ensure premium allocations are efficiently and effectively done. ? Ensure effective coordination with all stakeholders to increase monthly premium collection rate to 85%-90% 2. Management of Premium Administration Processes ? Ensure effective Billing of all clients ? Ensure effective distribution of premium in the system ? Ensure efficient premium allocation in the system ? Management of unsuccessful deductions and follow up with clients to avoid lapsation of client policies. ? Ensure text notification of premium deductions are sent to immediately after the premium deduction runs are completed. ? Billing Cycle- endure the data is clean up before the next billing period. ? Management of policy premium update ? Supervise the Collection of Premiums from Banks in line with direct debit instructions. ? Ensure all premiums collected are duly lodged at the banks as stipulated. ? Update of Premium & Policy movements on a monthly basis. ? Monitor to ensure banks receive premium deduction letters as per the clients’ agreement. 3. Third Party Relationship Management ? Ensure regular visitation to the various banks ? Personalizing relationship with one or two staff of the various banks ? Arrange regular meetings with relationship managers of the various banks to ensure efficiency in service delivery. 4. Timely Report Writing ? Preparation of weekly reports ? Preparation of monthly report. ? Perform other duties assigned by the CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER.

Required Skills / Experience

o Degree in Business Administration o Tenacity in driving processes to high sustainable performance level. o Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar role

o Must have strong data management skills o Must be a good team player with focus on customer service. o Possession of high degree of integrity.
