Job Description

Accounting Support Services • Manage monthly reporting process including responsibility for accurate, timely and high quality reporting with full adherence to IFRS. • Handling banking operations and accounts in Ghana. • Handling company taxation and other local government taxes and charges. • Ensure timely filing of Statutory returns such as VAT, WHT, and PAYE. Also PFA remittances and maintain a proper audit trail for the receipts and credit notes. • Ensure that all WHT receipts are received and filed properly for subsequent submission to vendors. • Timely and accurate payroll management • Checks for proper approvals and authorizations before payments are made. • Reviews the supplier reconciliation on a periodic basis • Identify and ensure adequate insurance cover for outlets and its operations and handling insurance claims Financial Management & Planning • Working closely with the management to create, analyse and implement business plans and maximize profitability and generate revenue in line with corporate goals. • Assist in the timely preparation of monthly financial reports, budgets and full year estimates. • Conduct variance analysis to determine difference between projected and actual results. • Taking care of financial systems and management procedures by means of proper budgeting & ensured that controls are adequate. • Supervising store's operations and cost analysis, suggesting improvements. • Coordinate with the management to ensure that all product costs are properly taken in the cost of sales and inventory costs Inventory • Assist in establishing and implementing inventory policies and procedures • Report shortfalls and surplus inventory weekly and monthly for replenishment • Alert management on bad stock management practices noticed and initiate actions to mitigate possible losses • Ensure proper, accurate, timely and relevant financial records are maintained • Maintain and update the inventory data base of the company • Perform inventory analysis by SKU, category and by branch • Handle goods returns by adjusting the stock item out of the vendors account and printing the adjusted vendors invoice and passing same to the storekeeper and the accounts payable accountant • Maintain acceptable and accurate inventory levels at warehouse and retail outlets • Ensure that goods received by stores are matched with the actual invoices from the suppliers • Assist other functional units within the management team in carrying out jobs as and when required

Required Skills / Experience

• First degree or Masters in Accounting • • Must be Chartered • Minimum 4 years work experience • Financial analysis skills

Years of Experience : 4 - 6 Years   


• Excellent communication skills • Fluent and accurate spoken and written English, additional languages (French, Spanish) are an advantage • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with using accounting software • Good interpersonal skills. • Extrovert; a good networker • Research skills • Attention to detail • Organized • Resilience and flexibility
