REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
Job Description :
Our client is a major player providing an extensive range of branded and generic prescription and OTC products, the largest supplier of hospital and critical-care products, blood systems and accessories as well as products used for renal dialysis and transplant medication. In support of their operations in Ghana they are looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager.
Qualified candidate will be managing a team of professional sales representatives, servicing specialists and general practitioners in a specific region/territory to fully achieve regional targets and operational expectations.
Summary of Duties:
Responsible for the Region’s forecasting and sales tracking
Managing a team of professional sales representatives to achieve regional and divisional targets
Establish an environment and foundation for future sales growth
Directing the selling activities within the Region, including resource deployment and customer interactions
Effective management of resources, e.g. money, stock, time, systems, sales tools, etc.
Setting of regions vision, developing and adhering to a business plan to attain this vision
Will be expected to develop and maintain excellent relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Key Customers
Ensuring efficient & constructive customer problem solving
Analysing & reporting of regional sales
Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
Disseminate information to regional sales representatives, corporate marketing and sales operations.
Will be in charge of coaching & Developing a professional sales Team
Teaching others on selling values and solutions to Customers
Measure Team competence against job needs analysis
Monitor & maintain Team health.
Monitor sales, customer complaints, market share & expenses closely
Providing quality leadership including facilitating creative improvements and inspiring others
Leading the Sales Territory Representatives and Specialists, managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development in accordance with organisation’s policies and procedures
Minimum of 5 yrs. experience as a Medical Sales Representative in Specialist and GP markets
Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical market
Demonstrated record of achievement in prior sales position
Basic business acumens
Should have good people management skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Decisiveness and Action Orientation
A valid driver’s licence
