Job Description

Our Client is an international offshore Service provider experienced in Steel repairs and paint work and is looking for qualified candidates for the following position: Welder. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Welding various diameter and wall thickness steel pipes and plates, using stick electrodes • Using Automatic Welding System when required, and qualified to do so • Following project and operational QA/QC requirements and parameters during different types of welding methods • Following welding procedures during specified tasks • Performing various pipe fit ups • Fabricating project(s) materials • Cutting and marking lay outs • Ensuring working tools are maintained in a safe working condition • Ensuring fire risk material, or material that could be damaged by sparks, slag, etc. are cleared from the work site and protected • Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices • Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in accordance with all safety and quality requirements

Required Skills / Experience

• Knowledge and experience in offshore construction industry • Minimum 1- 2 years offshore experience in a similar role • Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in related field • Trade certificate in Welding • Valid Offshore Medical • BOSIET Training or Equivalent (OPITO approved)

Years of Experience : 1-2 years   


• Fluent both in spoken and written English


Education Level : Unqualified
