Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Our client is a leading provider of food, agriculture, financial and industrial products and services to the world. The Sourcing Coordinator will be accountable and responsible for efficient and effective Sourcing activities in the assigned districts, manages relationships, plans and implements Sourcing strategies, and to manage resources to achieve results. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensures that procurement and dispatch plans of the Districts are drawn and executed daily. • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends daily. • Conducting daily reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities within the designated Districts. • Forecasts Purchase Volume for the season and provides same information for budget preparation. • Prepare weekly management report (Returns) detailing cash disbursement and total stocks purchased within districts • Assign daily & seasonal target to direct report based on forecasts and compare the actual against budget, implement corrective action to for store any shortfall • Maintain system to measure the performance and to coach and develop high performing team on a regular basis • Provides market intelligence on operations areas daily • Ensures that schedule and planning are strictly adhered to and within agreed cycle time • Ensures the safety, food safety, equipment safety, fire protection, security rules and takes all necessary actions to maintain a safe, food safe, secured environment daily • Ensure that any IT and automated systems records are accurate and up to date. • Monitor purchasing wallets and replenishment daily • Analyze farmer status (active and inactive) and report weekly to ensure all farmers registered are purchased from • Account and prepare daily reconciliation reports for the districts • Ensure timely reporting of operational challenges • Plan and execute Lead Farmer, IMS and farmer interactions weekly • Daily interactions with Buyers, Farmers and Lead Farmers through farmer’s days after Main and Light Crops Harvests and community visits during Main and Light Crop Harvest • Set up and manage communication flow between the Buyers, Lead Farmers and Sustainability • Set up and Manage of sourcing activity and goal metrics with benchmarks • Ensure compliance/Zero Tolerance of the company, Financial and Internal procedures and policies • Ensure that vehicles, machinery and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose. • Expand CKSL Footprint through increasing/growing the Farmer Base and Sourcing Volumes • Ensure that staff comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment. • Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency. • Coach, manage and develop sourcing team to optimize performance and meet targets and deadlines. • Communicate on a regular basis to make them aware changes, priorities, targets set and achieve. • Ensure effective warehouse and distribution operations by implementing department policies and procedures. • Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess on-going performance of direct report. • Collaborate on daily basis with Supply Chain on Sourcing Schedule and Volumes for Primary Evacuation and Consumables • Ensure full compliance of Company’s Guiding Principles

Required Skills / Experience

• Professional Degree in Marketing or Bachelor’s Degree or any First Degree + minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar or analogous role. Degree preferred, Administration, Statistics and Commerce. • Demonstrable experience of running a warehouse, preferably in the cocoa industry • Previous management experience with the ability to manage and motivate direct reports and others. • Previous experience of inventory control. • A Commercial qualification would be advantageous • Must have clear knowledge and understanding of Sourcing operations and techniques. • Significant experience in operations/Commercial with commodities.

Years of Experience : 5 Years   


• Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development. • Highly developed inter-personal and communication skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within the business. • Ability to build, lead and motivate a skilled team able to meet objectives and agreed targets. • Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets and databases and a knowledge of managing a team including analytical and numerical with strong decision making skills. • Need to have excellent attention to detail skills. • Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. • Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere
