Duties

• Provide support to and manage mining operations
• Create estimates for mining projects, design mines, and assist with mining equipment selection.
• Evaluate ongoing mining operations.
• Follow safety regulations set forth by the company
• Monitor and evaluate mining operations.
• Manage construction projects
• Assess the feasibility, safety and productivity of mine locations and plan
• Manage and optimise the extraction of surface and underground deposits.
• Train and supervise staff

Qualifications

• A minimum degree in mining engineering, civil engineering, geology, minerals engineering or related field. Masters will be an advantage.
• At least four years’ relevant practical work experience in the mining industry is essential
• Mechanical ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical ability
• Good computer skills
• Excellent math skills
• Good management skills
